This town has more of the small town feeling that many people headed up to elevation are seeking. This small community was first established in 1867 is only about 10 mile from Boulder. This community is known to have many popular trailheads leading to the some of the most travel routes in Colorado for cyclists.

A few other neighborhoods worth checking out if you are interested in Boulder Mountain living are Knollwood, Seven Hills, and Sugar Loaf. Knollwood is located at the beginning of popular Sunshine Canyon. This neighborhood offers a variety of homes with roughly about 3/4 acres of land. Further up Sunshine Canyon is Seven Hills. This area is bit more rural with many trailheads and parks. Lastly we have Sugarloaf. Although it is not as populated as the others, this community provided residents with outstanding views.

This community is the most popular of Boulder mountain living as it is only 5.6 mile from downtown. This area was first built upon in the 1950 and became more popular during the late 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. The homes in this community range in age and price and usually sit on anywhere from 1 to 10 acres of land. Access to the neighbor is most easily accessible from Lee Hill Road which was only paved in the 80’s. This community is considered to be a bit more on the rural side of mountain living than other Boulder mountain neighborhoods. Boulder Heights is known for it majestic views and relaxed style of living.

The Pine Brook Hills neighborhood is also known for its extreme close proximity to downtown Boulder as it can be accessed just 1 mile west of north Broadway via Linden Drive. In addition this community also has approximately 400 homes with amazing views of the eastern lakes and plains to the western Continental Divide. This neighborhood has seen much new development since its original construction in the late 60’s. The real estate market in this area sees steady growth largely due to their own district supply of water, natural gas, and volunteer fire fighters. The new builds in this community are known to be luxurious with the highest assessed value in 2004 being $3,111,150 and the highest sale occurrence in 2004 at $1,775,000.
